Shewanda Mattox has been a dedicated member of the Hope Haven of Northeast Georgia team since 2007. She began her career as a part-time Direct Support Professional in the former respite home and advanced through various programs, holding multiple middle-management roles. She currently serves as the Program Coordinator for Individualized Services, overseeing Community Living Support, Supported Employment, and Community Access Individual programs.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Ms. Mattox is the proud mother of three daughters and the owner of a dog named Coby. She enjoys traveling, attending food festivals, and spending quality time with her family, particularly her siblings, nieces, and nephews. She is also a devoted basketball parent and can often be found supporting her youngest daughter at AAU basketball games.
One of Ms. Mattox’s most cherished memories at Hope Haven is attending her first Annual Christmas Party, where witnessing the excitement and joy of individuals receiving their gifts reinforced her passion for the organization’s mission. In her personal time, she enjoys watching movies, spending creative time with her daughters, and baking. Baking serves as a source of comfort and joy for her, and she takes pride in sharing homemade cakes, pies, and other desserts with others.
