Beth Allinger is the Director of Finance and Administration at the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia.
Beth’s commitment to serving individuals with developmental disabilities is both personal and lifelong. Her sister had special needs, shaping her early understanding of inclusion and advocacy. In high school, she was active in the Partners Club, supporting children in the Special Olympics, including the statewide Winter Games. That passion continued professionally at the Burnt Mountain Center in Jasper, Georgia, where she helped adults with developmental disabilities gain confidence and independence.
Today, Beth continues this work as a board member for Hope Haven of Northeast Georgia, supporting programs that empower individuals and families in the region. She is also an active member of the Northwinds Symphonic Band, where she has played French horn since 2005. She lives in Athens with her husband, Chris, and their three children: Sawyer, Carter, and Turner.
