Kenny joined the Hope Haven family in April 2014 after moving to Athens with his brother and sister-in-law.
Since coming to Hope Haven, Kenny has thrived. He has participated in many Hope Haven programs such as physical therapy to assist with balance, mental stimulation exercises to increase knowledge and awareness, social and community activities to enhance the quality of life, and task-oriented jobs to benefit both cognitive and physical coordination.
Prior to the pandemic, Kenny participated in the Special Olympics bowling league that was coordinated through Hope Haven and Athens-Clarke County Services for Disabled Adults.
Hope Haven’s dedicated staff strives daily to help Kenny to be his best self. They have focused on his capabilities and not limitations in order to help him to achieve his highest potential while treating him with respect and dignity.
